As expected, they have put a full stop to any worries about the team's ability to succeed without the two legends to rest. Sanju Samson scored a century, and skipper Suryakumar Yadav contributed a half-century as India set their best T20 total of 297 against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.

They eventually held Bangladesh to 164 runs, clinching the match by 133 runs—India's third-largest margin of victory in T20I history, demonstrating that they are still as fearsome a team in the future as they were in the past. This was also the format's third-highest-hitting innings total. Sanju Samson was named Player of the Match after scoring a century.
