Though they had a forgettable loss in the first test match, losing by an innings and 32 runs, the away side was up for redemption.
On January 4th, India beat South Africa by seven wickets to register a win in the 2nd Test at the Newlands Stadium, Cape Town. The win would be highly accredited to the pacers who adapted to the hostile conditions and scalped some crucial wickets, thanks to Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. In this match, Siraj scalped his career-best figures with the red ball of 6/15.
