Top 5 batting performances from Day 5 of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26.

After the first five rounds of the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025/26, many teams have made their distances in the points table with some valuable victories at the crucial juncture of the tournament. Delhi remains at the top with four victories in five games, along with Punjab, in the same situation.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh remains unbeaten after the first five games, along with Karnataka, as they also remain at the top of their respective groups. During the fifth round of the tournament, some notable names of the Indian cricket team made their comeback to the 50-over domestic tournament.

A look at the top 5 batting performances from Day 5 of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26

1.   Hardik Pandya (Baroda)

After his Asia Cup 2025 injury halt, Hardik Pandya missed the ODI series against South Africa at home. To keep his rhythm for the T20 World Cup 2026, Hardik made himself available for the VHT 2025/26 clash for Baroda against Vidarbha. When he walked out to bat, Baroda had already lost half of their side inside 20 overs with just 71 runs on the board.

Hardik nailed an unbelievable knock of 133 in just 92 balls at a strike rate of nearly 145, thanks to his eight boundaries and 11 sixes, which helped the Baroda side to put 293 on the board in their allotted 50 overs. It has been satisfying news for the BCCI selectors as they want their premier all-rounder in the best shape heading into the 20-over World Cup 2026.

Brief Scores: Vidarbha 296/1 (Aman Mokhade 150*, Dhruv Shorey 65, Mahesh Pithiya 1/40) beat Baroda 293/9 (Hardik Pandya 133, Yash Thakur 4/64) by nine wickets.

2.   Aman Mokhade (Vidarbha)

After the unbelievable knockoff one 133 from Hardik Pandya that helped the Baroda side to post a massive score of 293 despite being 70 15 before 20 overs of the first innings, the pressure mounted over the Vidarbha side at the Niranjan Shah Stadium, Khandheri in Rajkot. The pitch was not an easy surface to bat on as the score seemed be a tough one to chase for the bizarre side.

However, the Vidarbha opening battered Aman Mokhade, killing the chase with his unbeaten knock of 150 in just one to one deliveries at a strike rate of over 120 with the help of 70 boundaries and four sixes, while Atharva Taide and Dhruv Shore drilled their respective scores of 65 runs to complete the successful chase by nine wickets.

Brief Scores: Vidarbha 296/1 (Aman Mokhade 150*, Dhruv Shorey 65, Mahesh Pithiya 1/40) beat Baroda 293/9 (Hardik Pandya 133, Yash Thakur 4/64) by nine wickets.

3.   Rohan Kunnummal (Kerala)

In the first innings of the game between Jharkhand and Kerala in Ahmedabad, the former posted 311 in the allotted 50 overs, with Kumar Kusaka, batting at number four, remaining unbeaten on 143 in 137 balls at a strike rate of more than a hundred with the help of eight boundaries and seven sixes.

In the first innings, Swastik Samal also celebrated his century at a run-a-ball, while GPoddar got 77 runs to put such a big score on the board. Vats also picked up three wickets in the second innings in his 10-over spell.
