5. UP Warriorz

UP Warriorz has had unimpressive performances in the past two editions of the WPL. They finished fourth in the 2024 season, winning three of their eight outings. Warriorz boasts impeccably experienced batters like Alyssa Healy, Chamari Athapaththu and Grace Harris. The side's main disadvantage was a lack of effective fast-bowling alternatives. Aside from Tahlia McGrath, no Pacers can be called game-changers.

The Warriorz also failed to address the vacuum in the auction of a pacer, instead opting to bring spinner Alana King despite the existence of competent spinmeisters like Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti Sharma, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

UP Warriorz 2025 WPL Squad:

Alyssa Healy (Captain), Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma, Grace Harris, Kiran Navgire, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shweta Sehrawat, Sophie Ecclestone, Tahlia McGrath, Vrinda Dinesh, Saima Thakor, Poonam Khemnar, Gouher Sultana, Chamari Athapaththu, Uma Chetry, Arushi Goel, Kranti Goud, Alana King
