In the T20 World Cup 2026 final played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against New Zealand, Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was the best bowler. Bumrah, with his precise bowling, did not give the opposing batters a chance to settle and made them crave for runs. It seemed that no New Zealand batter could answer his deliveries. Bumrah's bowling in the final is being highly praised, and now Aakash Chopra has also appreciated the right-arm fast bowler, stating that his performance with the ball is exactly like what Sir Donald Bradman did with the bat.

India set a score of 255/5 in the final thanks to a tremendous batting performance. The target of 256 seemed very difficult for New Zealand, and Jasprit Bumrah made it impossible. Bumrah conceded very few runs and also took wickets in his four-over spell. In this way, he recorded figures of 4/15 and played a crucial role in India's 96-run victory. He was also chosen as the Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Akash Chopra praised Jasprit Bumrah's bowling performance. He also complimented his consistency with the ball.

Former India opener said:

"I am going to start with Jasprit Bumrah for the simple reason that he is the Bradman of bowling. How can someone be so consistent? How can someone be so flawless? You call him a genius, and I hear only Bumrah. The guy never has an off day."

He added:

"He picked up four wickets in this game. Usually, the BrahMos operates at a rapid pace and destroys the base, but this time he decided to try something different. He said he had gotten bored of bowling fast. By cleverly rolling his fingers, he dismissed four batters. It was also the first time he claimed four wickets in a T20I. It feels as if the ball listens to him. He delivers it and seems to guide it to pitch and move exactly where he wants. I came across a stat showing that against his length balls and slot deliveries, batters have strike rates of just 80 and 75, respectively. The reason is simple — they are under immense pressure. Many batters go into survival mode when facing him."

Aakash Chopra called Jasprit Bumrah an all-time legendary bowler and expressed happiness that he is Indian. In addition, Chopra also said that winning the T20 World Cup 2026 would not have been possible for India without Bumrah, because he was the one who changed the game in his last two overs against England in the semi-final, which is when India secured a seven-run victory.
