'Abki baar 500 paar' - Fans react as India score 419/6 at Lunch on Day 2 of ongoing ENG vs IND 2nd Test

Team India ruling over England in their fortress, Edgbaston. Captain Shubman Gill and experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja built a solid 150-plus-run partnership in the middle. So far, the visiting side dominated the host till the launch.

Gill already has edged past individual 150-plus run knocks, and Jadeja captured his 23rd fifty before losing the timber. Team India traveled to Birmingham from Leeds after losing the first match of the ongoing 5-match series.

Chris Woakes started Day 1 of the 2nd game with the early wicket of KL Rahul. On a fresh Edgbaston surface, the team led by Ben Stokes was able to keep the match in balance. India has begun Day 2 with their remaining 5 wickets, Gill and Jadeja at the crease.

Gill and Jadeja set the stage for 500-run mark

Shubman has been in phenomenal form since he got the captaincy role to lead the Indian team in the longest format of the game. England got their first success of the day through the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja. Pace bowler Josh Tounge caught the all-rounder off guard, and Jamie Smith made no mistake with his safe pair of hands.

Jadeja returned to the pavilion after scoring 89 runs off 137 balls with ten 4s and one 6. India will look to grab at least 500 on the scoreboard as Gill is already on the crease with an unbeaten 168 after facing 288 deliveries. So far, before the lunch, eighteen boundaries and one over the boundary he delivered. India will start the next session with Gill and Washington Sundar.
