On his return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against his former franchise, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Akash Singh displayed a cool note celebration on all three of his wickets.

In the reverse fixture between the two sides, the home captain, Rishabh Pant, won the toss and decided to bowl first on a tacky surface where the pacers made the batters struggle with a stiff bounce. And Akash created more pressure on the visiting bowlers.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the CSK captain, went under the pitched-up delivery and lifted it inside out to sweeper cover for a boundary. But Akash Singh tasted his revenge on his very next delivery with the wicket of the right-handed batter, who was hurried on to play the short ball as his mistimed pull shot ended into the hands of the mid-on fielder.

Watch the note celebrateon here:

After the wicket, he took a note out of his hand and showed it to the fans. The note had a message written on it as it said, ‘Akki on fire, Akash knows how to take wickets in a T20 game.’

In the last over of the powerplay, the left-arm pacer sent back Sanju Samson. It was a massive wicket for a tough surface. The Indian wicket-keeper batter flicked the ball into the hands of the deep fielder as it failed to keep it down.

The pacer continued the same superb performance and picked up another massive wicket of Urvil Patel for six runs. The Gujarat batter went for the pull but couldn’t get the distance as the ball hit the higher part of the bat, and the deep mid-wicket fielder grabbed a fine catch. Akash showed the note on every single wicket. He finished with figures of 3/26 in four overs at an economy rate of 6.50.

CSK was under incredible pressure in that period before Dewald Brevis and Kartik Sharma celebrated a phenomenal 70-run stand for the fourth wicket of just 44 balls. Kartik smashed his half-century in 35 balls with three boundaries and four sixes.
