The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Anushka Sharma, wife of their star batter Virat Kohli, on Thursday, May 1. The franchise shared a special post on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, celebrating the Bollywood actress and acknowledging her role in Kohli’s journey. Anushka was referred to as the “strongest pillar” behind Kohli, highlighting her unwavering support throughout his career, especially during the ongoing IPL 2025 season, where RCB has performed impressively.

Along with the touching caption, RCB included a series of adorable pictures of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma that beautifully captured their cherished moments together. The post quickly gained attention from fans, who joined in to wish Anushka on her special day and praised the couple’s strong bond. The gesture not only reflected the close-knit atmosphere within the RCB camp but also added a personal touch to the team’s celebrations this season.

RCB to face Chennai Super Kings on Saturday

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 3. With seven wins and just three losses from ten matches, RCB currently sit at the top of the IPL 2025 points table and are the first team to reach 14 points this season. Riding high on a three-match winning streak, Bengaluru will look to maintain its momentum at home. A victory against CSK would take them to 16 points, virtually securing a playoff berth.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings find themselves in a tough spot, having become the first team to be eliminated from the tournament after their loss to Punjab Kings on April 30. CSK have now suffered three consecutive defeats, and with RCB in top form, the hosts will be confident heading into this clash. When the two teams met earlier this season on March 28 in Chepauk, RCB secured a dominant 50-run win. With four games remaining, every match is crucial for Bengaluru as they push to finish in the top two.
