The reel soon became a talking point among fans, especially amid the recent controversy surrounding Arshdeep’s deleted Instagram posts and reels. His latest video has now added another memorable moment to India’s gold medal celebrations.
Deleted posts controversy: What happened and why fans are talking
Arshdeep Singh’s decision to delete more than 200 Instagram posts created a big buzz among fans. The Indian pacer also changed his display picture, while his popular Champions Trophy 2025 reel with Virat Kohli, which had crossed 150 million views, was also removed.
Arshdeep did not publicly explain why he had deleted the posts. This led to different reactions from fans, with some wondering if it had been a personal social media reset, a cleanup, or part of a rebranding plan. However, he still had Punjab Kings mentioned in his Instagram bio and had kept some cricket, family and brand-related posts.
The move had also come after Arshdeep faced criticism during IPL 2026 over several social media-related incidents. He later attracted more attention after a reported Snapchat exchange with a fan and another viral story involving teammate Priyansh Arya. On the field, he had taken 14 wickets in 14 matches during IPL 2026 and had an economy rate of more than 10.
