"God's plan may take time, but His timing is always perfect."

We can continue to go through the upper quote after experiencing the surprising story of Rinku Singh throughout the entire Asia Cup 2025. Not playing any matches in the Asia Cup 2025 before the Final, as he was not even selected when some players were rested, the 27-year-old surprisingly got a chance to play in the India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 Final due to the injury-hit Hardik Pandya's absence. And what a dream ending for him, as the left-handed batter played only one ball of the tournament and hit a four to confirm India's trophy celebration.

Asia Cup 2025: Rinku Singh finishes with 400.00 strike rate

Rinku Singh remained calm throughout the entire game, as he fielded exceptionally well and took two crucial catches, while Pakistan were bowled out for 146 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 Final. Later, Rinku came to bat in the Final over of the match, where India needed 10 runs, and he had to support the match-winner Tilak Varma. Ultimately, when Rinku got the strike first time in the tournament, India needed only one run in three balls. While all the Pakistan players were inside the 30-meter ring, Rinku hit a four over mid on to Haris Rauf, as India won the Final by five wickets, and Rinku finished the tournament with a 400 batting strike rate. His hit ultimately confirmed India's ninth Asia Cup title and second T20 Asia Cup title, setting new records in the tournament.

Nothing else matters: Rinku Singh

After the match, Rinku said, "Nothing else matters. This one ball matters. One was needed. I hit it for a four. Everyone knows I am a finisher. Team won and I am really happy."

Former Indian cricketer and Head Coach, and present commentator Ravi Shastri has also praised Rinku Singh. As he was not part of any Indian playing XIs in the entire tournament before the Final, it was very tough for any player to perform in the big Final, India vs Pakistan. The 27-year-old was calm in the entire game, as he fielded impressively, and faced only one ball and hit the tournament-winning run.

Later, in the broadcast, it was revealed that some Indian players were asked to write down their dreams for the tournament at the beginning of the Asia Cup 2025. Rinku Singh wrote "Win Run", which meant hitting the tournament-winning run. While he wasn't a regular playing XI member anyway, it really surprised everyone how his wish became true.
