Australia players have gained huge rankings in the latest update among the ICC ODI batters. They earned a 2-1 series defeat against South Africa at home, having already lost the first couple of 50-over fixtures. They were rewarded with the latest rankings in the batting department after their huge victory during the final game in McKay.

The home side’s captain, Mitchell Marsh, won the toss and decided to bat first on a firm surface. Centuries from the top three of the national side, Travis Head, Marsh, and Cameron Green, along with the half-century from Alex Carey, pushed them to reach 431/2 in their allotted 50 overs as the Proteas were bundled out for 155 to lose by 276 runs.

Josh Inglis has also improved 23 slots to move to the 64th position as a result of his 87 in the final innings in Mackay against the Rainbow Nation.
