After being dismissed for just 8 runs in Pakistan’s first innings, captain Babar Azam made an impact with a brilliant fielding effort on Day 4. His sharp work at mid-off helped Pakistan wrap up England’s second innings at 208 runs.
Josh Tongue was the final batter to be dismissed after Babar picked up the ball and produced a brilliant bullseye direct hit at the striker’s end. The throw caught Tongue short of his crease and ended England’s innings.

The incident happened during the 55th over on Day 4 when Josh Tongue was run out while attempting a quick single. Tongue was slow to respond after Jofra Archer hit the ball towards mid-off, allowing Babar Azam to collect it quickly and fire a direct hit at the striker’s end.
The Pakistan skipper’s brilliant throw caught Tongue well short of his crease and ended England’s second innings. Tongue was dismissed for 12 runs off 15 balls as Pakistan wrapped up England’s tail.

England were bowled out for 208, setting Pakistan a target of 389 runs to level the series. Mohammad Abbas also received a standing ovation for his outstanding performance.

The ball took the top half of his bat and lobbed towards third slip, where Jordan Cox completed the catch. Pakistan were left in deep trouble as Babar walked back to the pavilion in just 6 runs.
