Cricket fans across social media platforms are in pure wonder as Dewald Brevis scored an astonishing century against Australia during the second T20I of the 3-match series.

After losing the first game, the second match became a must-win for the visiting side. In a situation when South Africa had no option but to win, Brevis played an astonishing century. Facing only 41 balls, the batter got his ton, which is the second-quickest T20I hundred from a South African player, and he is the youngest ever South African to register a century in T20 Internationals.

At the age of only 22, Johannesburg-born touched the milestone. Former South Africa international AB de Villiers heaped praise on the young gun. He took to his official social media account to say, "There was such a golden opportunity for IPL teams to pick up Dewald Brevis at the auction! Missed out badly. CSK either got very lucky, or maybe it was the biggest masterstroke ever. Even the boy can play."

During the over again, Glenn Maxwell and Brevis shifted the gears to the maximum to hit back-to-back big shots. 6, 6, 4, 6—Dewald smashed back-to-back deliveries when Maxwell was delivering his 4th over. The young batter remained unbeaten for 125 off 56 with twelve 4s and eight 6s, and South Africa, batting first, registered 218/7 on the scoreboard.

After playing the milestone innings, the alent showed gratitude to the all mighty and showed his humbleness. "I want to thank the God, without him I can't get this Glory," he said.
