Bangladesh Cricketer Mustafizur Rahman Hospitalized After Head Injury During Training Session

During a training session with the Comilla Victorians, Bangladesh’s left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman faced a frightening moment when he was struck on the head by a powerful shot from batsman Litton Das, who was practicing in an adjacent net. 

The impact left Rahman bleeding, and he needed immediate first aid measures at the venue. However, due to the severity of the blow, Rahman was swiftly shifted to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

CT Scans Reveal No Internal Bleeding, Offering Relief Amidst Concerns

Following the incident, Mustafizur Rahman underwent CT scans at the hospital, which thankfully revealed no signs of internal bleeding or major structural damage. This positive development has eased initial concerns about the severity of the injury. It also provides reassurance to fans and teammates alike. Rahman is now under medical observation, with his recovery progress being closely monitored by medical professionals.

A media release by team physio SM Zahidul Islam Sazal stated, “During practice a ball hit directly at the left parietal area (head) of Mustafizur Rahman. There was an open wound at his parietal area and we have worked with compression bandage to stop bleeding and immediately shifted him to Imperial hospital.” 

“After CT scan we are satisfied that he’s had only an external injury. There was no Intra-Cranial bleeding. Now surgical team has given him stitches to treat the open wound. Now he is under close supervision of Comilla Victorians team physio.”
