Bangladesh national cricket team players doubtful for Pakistan Super League 2026: Full details
Although Bangladesh players have already earned partial NOC for PSL from the board, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the players are still doubtful about the upcoming PSL season.

The Pakistan Super League 2026 is less than a week away from beginning, and the situation is only becoming tougher for the tournament, especially due to the foreign players availibilty. Although Bangladesh players have already earned partial NOC for PSL from the board, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the players are still doubtful about the upcoming PSL season.
Before and early ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, Bangladesh were in the news for several reasons, which started with Mustafizur Rahman's exit from the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.
Not only the left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, but the PSL also signed five more Bangladesh players for the forthcoming season.
Which Bangladesh cricketers may miss Pakistan Super League 2026
In the PSL 2026, apart from Mustafizur Rahman, Parvez Hossain Emon and Shoriful Islam have signed for Lahore Qalandars, while Rishad Hossain will serve for Rawalpindiz, and Nahid Rana and Tanzid Hasan Tamim will play for Peshawar Zalmi. All these cricketers have earned partial NOCs, as they have to be available for the home white-ball series against New Zealand, while only Mustafizur has been confirmed to return for PSL 2026 after the New Zealand series.
However, according to the latest reports, there is a major concern about Bangladesh cricketers' participations for the PSL 2026.
Reasons behind availability concerns for Bangladesh players
There is a severe war-like situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, as the PSL 2026 is under immense pressure due to security concerns. The Australian government has already reacted to this, while marking Peshawar a "do not travel zone."
Although there is no reaction about the cancellation or shifting of any matches of the PSL 2026, there are still some questions, especially about the two matches at Peshawar.
Understanding the present situation in Pakistan, the BCB has asked the national government to analyse the risk element, whether it will be safe to send the players to Pakistan for the PSL 2026 or not. While the BCB has already given partial NOCs to the players for the forthcoming PSL season, they are reconsidering and confirming through the government's view.

Impact on Pakistan Super League 2026 teams and squads
PSL 2026 is already under pressure due to limited foreign players' availability, as it is running simultaneously with IPL 2026. Moreover, some foreigners have already left PSL, due to several reasons, including earning a better IPL offer. While IPL 2026 has also suffered overseas injuries, it will again affect the PSL with new IPL offers.
Now, six Bangladesh players are yet to land in Pakistan, which is significantly affecting the PSL teams that are related with these players. Lahore Qalandars have three Bangladesh players, while Rawalpindiz and Peshawar Zalmi have one and two names, respectively. If the players ultimately miss the entire tournament, or even delay, the linked PSL teams will suffer heavily.
