Adelaide Strikers (STR) will play against Brisbane Heat (HEA) in Match 13 of the Big Bash League 2025–26 at the Brisbane Cricket Ground on Saturday, December 27, with both teams looking to bounce back after losses in their previous games.

The Adelaide Strikers kicked off their season on a positive note, with a narrow win over the Sydney Sixers in their opening fixture. The team was not able to sustain their momentum due to a loss in their second fixture against the Melbourne Stars. The Strikers scored 155 runs and were unable to defend their total, losing the match by six wickets. After two matches, they sit sixth on the points table with two points.

The Brisbane Heat, meanwhile, have shown mixed form so far. They grabbed attention earlier with a stunning high-scoring chase but were unable to repeat that performance in their last match against Sydney Thunder. After conceding 193 runs, the Heat could only manage 159 in reply. With one win from three matches, they are currently placed seventh and will be keen to improve their position.

STR vs HEA: Pitch Report

The pitch at the Gabba usually has a decent bounce and pace in the wicket, which assists the fast bowlers, especially with the new ball. Powerplay overs will be crucial as seamers can get movement early on. Batters who survive the early phase can score freely later. The average first-innings score is around 155–165, and teams often prefer to bat first here.
