BBL 2025-26 Match 31: SIX vs HUR

The Sydney Sixers will host the Hobart Hurricanes in Match 31 of the Big Bash League 2025-26 at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, January 11. With both teams sitting near the top of the table, this match could have a big impact on the playoff race.

The Sixers have found strong momentum at the right time. In seven matches, they have won four and lost three. Moises Henriques’ side is riding high after back-to-back wins over the Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat, and Melbourne Stars. Their recent form has pushed them firmly into top-four contention.

The Hurricanes are the most consistent side of the tournament so far.  With six wins from eight matches, they are currently leading the points table. The Hurricanes come into this game full of confidence after consecutive victories against the Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers and will aim to keep their winning run going.

SIX vs HUR: Pitch Report

Only two matches have been played at the SCG this season, and both were won by teams chasing. This surface generally helps batters, though the run-scoring has often been steady rather than explosive. Batters who put in time at the crease are likely to do well, and bowlers who stick to their plans can do well too.
