BBL 2025-26 Match 4: SIX vs STR head-to-head, pitch report & predicted playing XIs
The Sydney Sixers take on the Adelaide Strikers at the SCG in BBL 2025–26 Match 4, with both teams looking to make a strong statement early in the season.

Sydney Sixers (SIX) will face Adelaide Strikers (STR) in Match 4 of the BBL 2025–26 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday, December 17. This will be the first match of the season for the Adelaide Strikers.
The Sydney Sixers had a tough start to their campaign. They lost the opening match to the Perth Scorchers by five wickets in a rain-affected game. Batting first in an 11-over match, the Sixers could only manage 113/5, with Jack Edwards scoring 46 runs. Perth chased the target comfortably, with Cooper Connolly’s quick 59 sealing the win. The Sixers will now look to bounce back strongly in front of their home crowd.
The Adelaide Strikers are starting this season with a fresh outlook, having finished at the bottom of the table in the previous season. Being their first match of the event, they will look to put aside all their heartbreaking moments and start their BBL 2025-26 campaign on a positive note.

SIX vs STR: Pitch Report
The Sydney Cricket Ground usually offers a decent batting wicket with the ball coming nicely on to the bat. The fast bowlers may initially extract some movement if they bowl line and length balls. As the match progresses, the spinners will become handy if the wicket slows down.
