The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a couple of upcoming series for the India A team this year. A team from South Africa and Australia will travel to India to play a multi-format series.
Australia Men’s A Tour of India will start officially in mid-September and will conclude on October 25, and then the host team will have to prepare for the series against South Africa. Along with Lucknow, Kanpur, and Bengaluru, the board is set to arrange a couple of matches in the Center of Excellence. The BCCI's recently inaugurated Center of Excellence will also host two multi-day matches of the South Africa series.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli recently retired from Test cricket and left the team India's Test set-up with only a few senior faces. Selectors have to set up a new-looking squad for the format and a well-decorated reserve bench. India A can be a good supply line if the board utilizes it well.

The series against Australia and South Africa shows how the board is keenly interested in developing their Test hurdle for the upcoming days. Before those assignments, the India A team will travel to England as a part of preparations for the 5-match Test series against Team India.
