The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has cleared the mist around Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's central contract, which had already been done before they made their retirement announcement.
The cricket world has witnessed back-to-back retirements from the Indian Test setup in Rohit and Virat, two major figures of modern Indian cricket who helped the team to shape up and become the best in the world. Both the batters are now available to play only One Day International matches as they leave T20Is and Tests, which raises questions about their BCCI central contract.
The board placed them in the A+ category, the highest contract for an Indian cricketer, which comes with an annual relationship of Rs 7 crore. When BCCI finalized the list of the players under central contract, Rohit and Virat were both active in Tests and ODIs; now, after taking retirement from the longest format, they can participate only in ODI matches.

At this point some cricket enthusiasts started to question, should BCCI revise the central contract list? The highest cricket governing body of India has cleared all the doubts; they are ready to carry out the contracts as they were.
The BCCI Secretary said to a news agency, "Virat Kohli & Rohit Sharma's Grade A+ contract will continue even after both announced retirement from T20I & Test Matches—they are still part of Indian cricket; they will get all facilities of Grade A+."
