The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can arrange a press conference to announce the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, claimed a recently published media report.

The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played from September 9 to September 28, where Team India will step onto the field as the defending champion. For the prestigious tournament, BCCI is due to announce the squad. Regarding the squad, there are a lot of possibilities and speculations running around social media platforms. The squad can contain some surprising entries.

According to previously published reports, BCCI could announce the squad only through a press release. But the recent reports are claiming something different; the board can conduct a press conference to reveal the highly anticipated squad.

India is scheduled to face Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025

Early in this year, Team India played their last T20I matches against England. Since then, the Men in Blue brigade has not performed in the shorter format of the game. It is anticipated that the team management can make some changes in the squad from the last T20I series team. In the Asia Cup 2025, India is scheduled to face their archrivals Pakistan in Dubai on September 14.

In the 17th edition of the Asia Cup, the competition will contain eight teams that have been divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 4 stage, from where the two toppers will clash in the final on September 28.

Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, China
