Key clashes and venues to watch in Phase 2 fixtures

If we look at the phase 2 fixture, the key clashes is definitely between CSK and KKR, CSK and MI, MI and GT, and several other teams. The rivalries between franchises has grown over the years and the fans pay utmost attention to every game. The venues are across 12 cities in the country this time.

"The remainder of the league stage, comprising 50 matches, will be played from April 13 to May 24, 2026, across 12 venues in India.Matches in the second phase will be held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamsala, Raipur and New Chandigarh. As the tournament enters a crucial phase, teams will compete across venues for a place in the playoffs, with the race expected to intensify through the latter half of the league stage. The action resumes on April 13, 2026, with Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad, setting the tone for an exciting run of fixtures," read the statement released by IPL committee.

Fans react as playoff race heats up with new schedule

The fans were happy with the release of the schedule. However, since there is only one match between RCB and CSK, that made the fans quite upset. After 2024, the rivalry between the teams has increased and playing against each other was epic.

IPL scheduling is basically a masterclass in how to run a sports league. two months of the best cricket players on the planet playing every single day. no other league in any sport compresses that much talent into that short a window
