BCCI sets new base price for India's jersey sponsorship ahead of Asia Cup 2025
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has set a new base price for the jersey sponsorship of the Indian cricket team after the promotion and regulation Online Gaming Bill banned the betting apps ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

Ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, due to start on September 09, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has raised the valuation of the Indian cricket team by setting a new base price higher than that of Dream11, the outgoing sponsor. As it has been revealed, the new price will be INR 3.5 for bilateral games and around INR 1.5 crore for multilateral fixtures like the ICC and ACC events.
These rates by the BCCI are higher than the current rates of INR 3.17 crore for the bilateral games and INR 1.12 crore more than the tournament’s games. The board has targeted a valuation of over 10% for the bilateral games and nearly 3% for the multinational competitions.
The valuations for the two different sites are natural, given that the sponsors receive a better image during the bilateral games. The name of their brand is flashed on the chest of the players, while for the ICC and ACC events, the brand is limited only to the sleeves, which naturally results in lower visibility of the brand.

The BCCI has asked for sponsorship for the next three years, with the reports indicating that around 130 games are scheduled during this period, along with the T20 World Cup 2026 and the ODI World Cup 2027. Based on the revised base price, the total earnings from the board will be more than INR 400 crore, as the final sum could be more than the calculated number.
The BCCI released the invitation for the Expression of Interest for the Blue Brigade’s lead sponsor rights, stating that none of the gaming, crypto, or tobacco brands are prohibited from bidding. They have also ignored non-alcoholic cold beverages, fans, mixer grinders, safety locks, banking, and insurance companies as the sponsors because they could conflict with the existing BCCI sponsors.
The requirement of the new sponsor was viral after the exit of Deam11 due to the Government’s new Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which ignores the operations of real-money companies in this country.
