The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared an emotional note for India’s long-time number three Test batter, Cheteshwar Pujara, who tried to fill the huge shoes of Rahul Dravid at number three but couldn’t get the required consistency with the bat in the longest format. The BCCI looked back on his famous 2018/19 BGT series against Australia down under, where Pujara’s contribution of 521 runs in four games, facing more than 1200 balls, was a huge contributor with the bat, His 56 runs in Brisbane 2021 on the next trip displayed his skills of resilience and laid foundation for their series victory.
