Yashasvi Jaiswal recently shared some fascinating stories about his meeting with Bollywood celebrities in real life. His encounter with Abhishek Bachchan is a heartwarmingaccount for the 23-year-old cricketer.
Jaiswal recently appeared on a YouTube video, where he talked about some of his special memories related to cricket. The conversation was mostly around cricket and Team India, but there was a portion in which they were talking about Bollywood. Cricket and Bollywood have shared a very close bond for years. So there is no wonder that Yashasvi Jaiswal got to meet with silver screen personalities in real life, not once, but twice; he informed about a couple of incidents.
There is no surprise that being a Team India player, Jaiswal met with Suniel Shetty. He said that on one occasion he talked with the veteran Bollywood actor and father-in-law of KL Rahul. But the Bollywood-related main conversation was around Abhishek Bachchan. Jaiswal recalled that when he first saw Abhishek, he felt a lack of confidence and hesitation to talk with him. Abhishek too, spotted Jaiswal, and perhaps understood the hesitation as well. The Bollywood celebrity himself made a U-turn and came to meet with the batsman. He praised the opener and said that he liked his batting very much.

Jaiswal shared a special moment of meeting a Bollywood superstar
"I once got to talk to Suniel Shetty, sir, and I met Abhishek Bachchan once at Soho House. It felt really nice meeting them. Abhishek bhai said, “We love seeing you batting. We always watch you play.” That was amazing for me. He was going somewhere, and he saw me, and I also saw him. I didn’t really know what to do or say, but Bhai himself came over. I guess he saw that I wanted to meet him. So he came, took the right turn, and I went to meet him. I really enjoyed meeting them. It felt really good. They are very nice," the Team India star batter said in a YouTube video.
Jaiswal has been out of action for a while now. After a memorable Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, team India selectors dropped him from the T20I squad for the Asia Cup 2025. As of now, the southpaw can again be in action from the upcoming October, when India will face the West Indies for the 2-match Test series.
