Along with the grand finale, the grounds for the play-offs are yet to be decided as well. As per the latest report by Cricbuzz, it is known that Ahmedabad can get the hosting rights for the IPL 2025 final. And the playoff fixtures can be held at Mullanpur. Though, there is no official announcement yet.
A few days ago, some media reports claimed that the officials of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) are trying their best to get the right to host the final match of IPL 2025. But the weather can be a major concern in Kolkata during June.
People in West Bengal are now experiencing pre-monsoon-like situations. During the end of May and the first week of June, monsoon season can be at its peak there. So, as per previous reports, CAB officials inquired about weather forecasts during that time of the month from the weather experts. At a point in IPL 2025, Eden Gardens was considered as one of the favorites to host the high-voltage match, but later , when India and Pakistan engaged in military actions, situations were perhaps not in favor of Eden Gardens. The iconic stadium in India even got a bomb threat, which triggered security concerns.
Keeping in mind the weather conditions, stadium capacity, or security concerns, Ahmedabad can be the best ground to host the highly anticipated match. Though, without any official announcement, there are no solid confirmations yet.
