Asia Cuyp 2025: Indian players will assemble in Dubai
Generally, before any tournament in foreign countries, the Indian players join in Mumbai and then leave the country. However, the Asia Cup 2025 will experience something different. Among the 15-memb 1er Indian squad, while some players will travel from Mumbai, some players will not come to Mumbai and will directly join the team in Dubai. All the Indian players will arrive in Dubai by September 4, while the first nets session has been scheduled for September 5.
A senior BCCI official told PTI, "All the players will arrive in Dubai by September 4 evening and the first nets session will be held on September 5 at the ICC Academy. Factoring in the logistical convenience, the players will be allowed to fly in to Dubai from their respective cities."
"Obviously, a few will travel from Mumbai but to ask some of the others to first come to Mumbai and then fly to Dubai doesn't make sense. In any case, Dubai is a short duration flight compared to other international flights."
When did India play their last T20I?
The Asia Cup 2025 will be India's first international cricket assignment since the end of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 in England, which ended in a 2-2 draw early this month. While India played their last white-ball match in early March, during the Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, their last T20I match was in early February during the home T20I series against England.
