The 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League concluded with Rajshahi Warriors claiming their maiden BPL title, marking a historic moment for the franchise. In the final at Mirpur, Chattogram Royals were sent into bat first, and Rajshahi’s bowlers prepared to defend a competitive total. The highlight of the innings was opener Tanzid Hasan’s sensational century. Scoring 100 off just 62 balls, he became only the third player in BPL history to hit a hundred in a final. Sahibzada Farhan and Kane Williamson added crucial support to help Rajshahi post a total of 174 for 4.

Chattogram Royals began their chase with hope but struggled to build partnerships. Rajshahi’s bowlers applied pressure from the start, never allowing the batters to settle. Binura Fernando was exceptional with the ball, finishing with remarkable figures of 4 for 9, while left-arm spinner Hasan Murad chipped in with three wickets in the middle overs. Chattogram’s Mirza Baig offered some resistance with a 39-run knock, but his effort was not enough to spark momentum, leaving the Royals short of the target.

Ultimately, Chattogram Royals were bowled out for 111 in 17.5 overs, handing Rajshahi Warriors a comprehensive 63-run victory. The win highlighted the balance in Rajshahi’s squad, with brilliant performances with both bat and ball. Tanzid Hasan’s century, combined with the impactful bowling of Fernando and Murad, proved decisive. The triumph not only gave Rajshahi their first-ever BPL trophy but also emphasized the team’s growing dominance in the tournament, capping off an exciting season full of thrilling encounters, records, and standout performances.
