BREAKING NEWS: IPL 2026 Full Schedule Revealed
The full schedule of the 2026 season for the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been revealed as the 10-team competition will begin on March 28 and will be telecasted by the host broadcaster in the evening.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is announcing the schedule for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on March 11 at 7 pm, through the broadcaster, Star Sports. The secretary, Devajit Saikia, confirmed that the initial set of fixtures for the first 20 games will be announced while the remaining schedule will be published later.
India, under Suryakumar Yadav, continues to celebrate its dominance after winning the T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The IPL will begin on March 28, a date that was earlier confirmed by Star Sports, as the focus will shift to the excitement of franchise cricket.

“We will announce the first 20-day schedule of IPL in 2 or 3 days after considering the election dates in a few states, and will announce the rest of the tournament schedule later,” Saikia revealed, as the issues have been on the elections in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Schedule revealed
The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is going to host the opening game of the league on March 28. The reports claimed the clash could be between the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and the five-time champions of the event, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The captains’ photoshoot is expected to happen on March 15.
The annual meeting between the captains and coaches will be held on March 25 in Mumbai, as the runners-up from the last event, Punjab Kings (PBKS), will be playing Gujarat Titans (GT) for the first match at their home base, Mullanpur, on March 29.
