On Saturday, November 15, all 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises announced the list of players they are releasing ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, scheduled for December 2025. A total of 73 players have been released by their respective IPL 2025 teams. In addition, 10 players have been traded ahead of the upcoming auction.

In this article, we provide a complete breakdown of all the released and traded players, giving fans a clear view of the changes ahead of IPL 2026.

The most talked-about players who have changed teams before the auction are Ravindra Jadeja, Sanju Samson, Mohammed Shami, and Sam Curran. Jadeja, a long-time Chennai Super Kings player, has joined the Rajasthan Royals for ₹14 crore.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has joined the Chennai Super Kings for ₹18 crore. English all-rounder Sam Curran has also moved from Chennai to the Rajasthan Royals for ₹2.4 crore. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has joined Lucknow Super Giants from Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹10 crore.
