On the 19th encounter of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, the Trinbago Knight Riders locked horns with the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. The visiting captain, Jason Holder, won the toss and decided to bowl first on a surface where chasing was expected to be easy.

For the Knight Riders, Darren Bravo, Nathan Edwards, and Usman Tariq came into the playing eleven, with Keacy Carty, Terrance Hinds, and McKenny Clarke getting out of the eleven. For the Patriots, they made one solitary chance with Abbas Afridi getting a break to see Ashmead Nedd coming into the eleven.

Kieron Pollard’s 65 shoulders Trinbago Knight Riders to 179/8

At 27/2 on the opening ball of the fifth over, the Knight Riders looked to be struggling in the first innings. At number three, Bravo continued to struggle and ended with just 21 runs in 25 balls with one four and one six at a strike rate of 84. But the game changed, thanks to the 90-run fourth-wicket stand between Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran.
