An outstanding amount of hype has been on social media platforms regarding the India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match. But the ground reality may be something different. An official of Emirates Cricket makes some shocking claims about IND vs PAK clash ticket sales. According to media reports, there are still plenty of tickets that remain unsold, which even surprised the officials.

India began their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a bang. They defeated the host, the United Arab Emirates, in a one-sided match at Dubai International Stadium on September 10. Team India will next face archrival Pakistan on Sunday, September 14. And Pakistan will start their campaign on September 12 through a match against Oman, where Pakistan will be the favorite to emerge victorious.

When India and Pakistan faced off against each other on February 23 this year during the ICC Champions Trophy, it turned into a houseful show. A large number of crowds were in Dubai International Stadium to witness the rivalry live from the gallery. India won the match by 6 wickets and 45 balls to spare.

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match ticket sell unexpectedly low

Officials, this time too, expected an outrageous response from the cricket lovers. As of now, the situation looks different, and lots of tickets are yet to be sold. Behind low ticket demand, there can be multiple reasons, including the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They both retired from the format right after winning the ICC T20I World Cup.

"We are surprised that the flow of sales for India vs. Pakistan is much lower. Till the time we sold out with lower stands only, the upper and top tier stands were still on sale. In the Champions Trophy for the same match, we had sales two times in a single day, like we opened the ticket window at 2 pm and 4 pm, and we were sold out that time in just less than 4 minutes, but this time the craze is very dull. It might be because of the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli," an Emirates Cricket official said.
