Cricket Australia planning special farewell for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli during India’s tour in 2025: Reports

Modern-day cricket legends of India, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, can receive a grand farewell ceremony in Australia. As per a recently published media report, Cricket Australia is planning something big to show some respect for these two icons from India.

If the reports are to be believed, then it could also be their final outing in Australia as players representing India. If that's become true, then the celebration can turn into something bigger and more special. As for now, Team India is scheduled to travel to Australia for a three-match ODI series, which can start in October.

After retiring from T20Is and Test cricket, Kohli and Rohit solely focused on the One Day International format. And if all goes well, then they can travel to Australia to participate in the ODI series later this year. Though, in the upcoming days, there will be more details to enlighten the scenario.

High hopes around Rohit and Virat in ODIs

Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test cricket on May 7, followed by Virat Kohli on May 12. Before that, they both walked away from T20Is after winning the ICC T20I World Cup. There are lots of speculations suggesting that they can focus on the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2027 to conclude their international career entirely on a high note.
