Cricket West Indies (CWI) reveals special plan for the upcoming India tour, where they will play a crucial two-match Test series, starting on October 2.

The India vs West Indies two-match Test series will be the second Test series for both teams in the 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship. As the West Indies suffered a 3-0 home Test series defeat against Australia, the Caribbean team is desperate to prove themselves in the upcoming India tour.

The last time the West Indies beat India in Test cricket was during the 2002 Kingston Test. Meanwhile, the Caribbean team’s last Test victory in India was recorded during the 1994 Mohali Test. So, there is no doubt about how desperate they are for the forthcoming India tour.

We are there from September 24

Meanwhile, the CWI head has a strong belief in the Caribbean team. For better preparation, the Caribbean team will land in India early, as they will hold a six-day camp in Ahmedabad between September 24 and 29. CWI has already shared their plan with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).

CWI CEO Christ Dehring told Cricbuzz, "We have a team that we expect to perform well, in particular a quite exciting fast bowling attack. We are there from September 24 through to the first Test.”

Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the opening Test of the series from October 2, and Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will host the second and last Test from October 10.

While the Indian Test pitches generally assist the spinners, the CWI has named a strong pace-bowling attack with only two specialist spinners, both of whom are left-arm spinners. They are vice-captain Jomel Warrican and uncapped Khary Pierre. The other top spin bowling option is off-spinner Roston Chase.
