Dale Steyn makes a special offer for Nepal after impressive ENG vs NEP match in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026

Nepal have once again stunned the world of cricket, as they almost beat the two-time champions England in their opening game of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. After observing the match, the former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has come up with a special offer for the impressive Nepal national cricket team.

In the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, Nepal had a very close fight against South Africa, as they lost that group stage game by just one run. In that same tournament, they also fought impressively against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Nepal winning the T20I series against West Indies is still a strong memory in cricket fans, and their first game of the T20 World Cup 2026, which was against England on Sunday (February 8), was also very special.  

ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026: Nepal fought hard against England, lost by only four runs

Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai hosted the match, where England chose to bat first. The two-time champions scored 184/7 in 20 overs, thanks to the powerful batting performances by Jacob Bethell (55), captain Harry Brook (53), and Will Jacks (39 not out off 18 balls).

In reply, Nepal fought brilliantly, as captain Rahul Paudel (39), Dipendra Singh Airee (44), and Lokesh Bam (39 not out off 20 balls) almost snatched the game. In the final over, Nepal needed 10 runs to win, but they only managed five runs, finishing with the score of 180/6 in 20 overs, as they lost the match by just four runs.
