Chennai Super Kings have received a major injury boost ahead of their 18th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Delhi Capitals. Dewald Brevis is expected to return and play his first match of the season on Saturday, April 11, after recovering from injury.

Brevis had missed CSK’s first three matches of the season against Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He was sidelined due to a fitness issue, but he has now fully recovered and has returned to training with the squad. He has also been spending a good time in the nets to regain rhythm.

In the recent practice session, Brevis looked confident and in good touch. He played his shots freely and also hit a powerful six, showing clear signs that he is returning to full form. This is a positive update for CSK, as his return will strengthen the middle order and add more power to their batting lineup in the coming matches.

CSK prepare for upcoming IPL 2026 fixtures against Delhi Capitals

Chennai Super Kings are set to face Delhi Capitals in Match 18 of the Indian Premier League 2026. The match will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 11. Both teams will be looking to make a strong impact in this important game.

CSK have had a difficult start to the season. The five-time champions have lost all three of their matches so far. They were first beaten by the Rajasthan Royals, then lost to the Punjab Kings, and also faced defeat against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The team will now be eager to improve their performance and secure their first win, especially while playing at home.

In contrast, the Delhi Capitals have started the season in a positive way. They won their first two matches against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, showing good balance in both batting and bowling. However, they lost their last match by a close margin of one run against the Gujarat Titans. Despite that loss, the team looks confident and will aim to return to winning form in the upcoming match.
