They then bounced back with a crucial 53-run win against New Zealand and confirmed a ticket to the semi-final.
In the semi, Harmanpreet Kaur and her team met again with Australia. Australia, batting first, posted a massive total of 338 on the board. In reply, Jemimah Rodrigues smashed a match-winning, unbeaten hundred-plus-run innings to chase down the target. Kaur also accompanied her well during the middle overs of the game.
