Match 12 of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 turned into a classic run-fest at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as East Delhi Riders (EDR) chased down an astounding 232 to beat Outer Delhi Warriors (ODW) by 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare. After winning the toss, East Delhi Riders chose to bowl first, but the explosive batting by ODW made the wicket tricky as they amassed a massive total. However, the power and stability of EDR's middle order, led by Anuj Rawat, made it an ELECTRIFYING chase and a display to watch, as the crowd stood in awe.

Outer Delhi Warriors Innings: 231/7 in 20 overs

ODW got off to a great start; Priyansh Arya led his side very well, scoring 111 off 56 balls with 7 fours and 9 sixes. He was able to create a lot of momentum and was well supported by Karan Garg, who scored 43 off 24 balls and hit the ball very cleanly. Keshav Dabas and Harsh Tyagi provided some explosive cameos, while the death overs certainly seemed to hinder an all-out assault on the scoreboard; even with regular wickets falling towards the end of their innings, ODW still finished with a mammoth 231/7.

For EDR, Rounak Waghela was the standout bowler with nice figures of 2/34 in his 3 overs. Rohit Yadav and Akhil Chaudhary were also able to provide the side with some important breakthroughs.

ODW Batting Highlights:

  •  Priyansh Arya - 111 (56)
  •  Karan Garg - 43 (24)
  •  Harsh Tyagi - 16 (8)

EDR Bowling Highlights:

East Delhi Riders innings: 235 / 5 in 19.2 overs

In pursuit of 232, East Delhi Riders were quite shaky at the start, losing Sujal Singh and Hardik Sharma in the first two overs. However, opener Arpit Rana (79 runs off 45) steadied the innings and provided some counterattacking batting, with a total of 8 fours and 4 sixes. The innings really came to life when captain Anuj Rawat had his turn, having smashed 84 runs (35 balls) at a strike rate of 240.00, including 9 sixes.

Mayank Rawat's 32 runs not out off 12 deliveries ensured there was no final hiccup, getting EDR to win the match in 19.2 overs.

  • Arpit Rana - 79 (45)
  • Mayank Rawat - 32* (12)
