In Match 16 of the Delhi Premier League 2025, the North Delhi Strikers (NDS) beat Purani Dilli 6 (PD6) by 27 runs. The PD6 innings got an early setback from some excellent bowling from the NDS, but with some fighting knocks by the middle order and lower order, they got bowled out for 152, and NDS secured an important win in the tournament.

The first six overs of the NDS innings were brilliant. They had a powerful and quick start in the power play, with Sarthak Ranjan scoring a brisk 51 off 33 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes) and Arnav Bugga moving the scoreboard along nicely with his 39 off 26 balls. Between them, they managed to score 91 runs in the first 8 overs and started taking control of the innings. During the next period of NDS innings, we were entertained by the middle-order batters Pranav Rajuvanshi (27 off 16) and Harshit Rana (9* off 4), which helped turn what could have been a top-heavy innings into a combined effort by all the batters. PD6 bowlers tried hard to restrict runs, with Lalit Yadav (3/26) and Rajneesh Dada (3/39) each taking 3 wickets, taking turns together to bowl out the PD6 batters without their top bowler in Udhav Mohan, who also took 2 wickets with bowling figures of 2/28.
