The North Delhi Strikers auction preparation for DPL 2025 had a clarity of focus on balance and quality to try and maximize the options for the franchise. They came away with a roster that includes experience, power, and raw young talent. The team had ₹1.5 crore leftover budgeted the retention, allowing the franchise to retain its pace spearhead Harshit Rana for ₹21 lakh, which brought continuity and leadership to our bowling department.

They had other selections from the auction that stood out as all-round options for the team across a few departments.
When it was all said and done, the Strikers spent ₹13 lakh on Vaibhav Kandpal, a power-hitting batter who is known for anchoring innings in local leagues. The team also chose two players toward the top of their order with the expectation of aggressive batting in Sarthak Ranjan (₹12.50 lakh) and Yajas Sharma (₹12.50 lakh) who will likely be looking to make contributions.

Bowling Firepower and Local Talent Highlight Strikers’ Auction Strategy

The bowling unit was further strengthened by the addition of Kuldip Yadav, a left-arm pacer bought for ₹10 lakh, and Arjun Rapria, a consistent performer in Delhi’s domestic scene, picked up for ₹11.50 lakh. Siddhartha Solanki (₹9 lakh) and Deepak Khatri (₹6.50 lakh) also add quality spin and all-round skills to the roster.

The Strikers exhibited their depth in scouting for young players who are local talents, such as Yash Dabas (₹8.50 lakh), Arnav Bugga (₹7.75 lakh), and Yash Bhatia (₹6.75 lakh), all under-the-radar players with high upside potential. They capitalized on budget options by picking up several promising players at ₹1-3 lakh, abridged by Deepanshu Gulia, Prabhjot Singh, Aryan Sejwal, and Noor Ilahi, to bolster depth on their bench.
