After winning the toss and bowling, the Lions restricted the Tigers to 138/8 based on a fighting half-century from Vaibhav Rawal (64 runs off 50 balls). Anirudh Chowdhary & Manan Bhardwaj took 2 wickets each, which led to the Tigers getting pegged back. The Lions were chasing a revised total of 154 based on the DLS method, and once again, Ankit Kumar produced fireworks as he smashed a quick-fire 25 runs from just 14 balls as the Lions raced to 61/2 in 7.1 overs when the rain intervened, delivering a victory and two vital points for the Lions.
