The second day of the Duleep Trophy 2025 saw Manishi making his name before some of the star batters as he picked up six wickets for the East Zone side. However, it was backed up beautifully by Auqib Nabi, who ended with a fine spell of 5/28 in 10.1 overs, including one maiden. On the other hand, Danish Malewar stayed unbeaten on 203 runs in 222 balls at a strike rate of 90 as Rajat Patidar cracked 125 runs. 

North Zone started the third day from 168/7. They could add only 18 runs on the board from that overnight score. Ankur Malik smashed 42 runs in 55 balls at a strike rate of 76.36, with the help of five boundaries and a couple of sixes. Aditya Thakare picked up three wickets for 23 runs in 11 balls.

In reply, Central Zone are at a strong position of 331/7 in 80.3 overs by the end of the day as they had already earned a fine lead of over 675 runs. Shubham Sharma celebrated a fine knock of 122 runs with the help of 17 boundaries, while Patidar cracked 66 runs in 72 balls. At the B-ground of the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

North Zone ended the second day with a lead of 175 runs, having bundled out the East Zone by 230 runs in 56.1 overs. They batted the entire third day at the A-ground of the BCCI Centre of Excellence. The second wicket-stand between captain Ankit Kumar and Yash Dhull added 240 runs in just 290 deliveries.

Kumar remained unbeaten on 168 runs in 264 balls with 16 boundaries and one six by the end of the day’s play, while Yash Dhull ended up with 133 runs in 157 balls, scoring 14 boundaries and three sixes. Even Ayush Badoni continued their dominance with an undefeated 56 runs in 78 balls, as they had already taken a lead of 563 runs. Mohammed Shami finished with 0/36 in 11 overs.

North Zone- 405 (Kanhaiya Wadhawan 76, Ayush Badoni 63, Manishi 6/111) & 388/2 (Ankit Kumar 168, Yash Dhull 133, Suraj Jaiswal 1/37) lead East Zone 230 (Virat Singh 69, Riyan Parag (c) 39, Auqib Nabi 5/28) by 563 runs.

Central Zone 532/4 dec (Danish Malewar 203, Rajat Patidar 125*, Akash Choudhary 2/103) & 331/7 (Shubham Sharma 122, Yash Rathod 78, Akash Choudhary 2/44) lead North East Zone 185 (Karnajit Yumnam 48, Ankur Malik 42, Aditya Thakare 3/23) by 678 runs.
