Former India cricketer Sadagoppan Rames expressed his doubts over BCCI's decision to remove Rohit Sharma from the captaincy ahead of the Australia tour (IND vs AUS). Did the board make a sensible decision to change the captaincy during a crucial series? Rames expressed his doubts. He has questions over another experienced cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja. On his latest YouTube video, he raised the question, 'Is this the end of Jadeja in ODIs?' On the topic, the former cricketer mostly explained about the greatness of Rohit Sharma as the leader of Team India.

Ramesh said, "That's a terrible situation. That's not just the match. He's a phenomenal white-ball captain." Followed by a question, "Why is this rush?"

Shedding a light on the upcoming World Cup and what Rohit did for India in the last few ICC events, the former batter thinks that the decision to remove Sharma is too early, as changing captaincy can affect the performance of the team massively.

According to the stats of Rohit Sharma as the ODI captain of India, he led India to Asia Cup wins in 2018 & 2023 and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Also made the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

After discussing the legacy of Sharma, Rames shifted the direction of the discussion to Ravindra Jadeja. Ramesh has questioned the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel for not including Ravindra Jadeja in the ODI squad for the Australia tour. Jadeja last played for India in ODIs in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Rames raises a question

Ramesh, from his YouTube channel, said, "Ravindra Jadeja." I think that the selector has been a little bit different."

"He’s a white-ball legend. Will you pick Jadeja in the team only when you need extras?" he also raised the question.
