ENG vs IND 1st Test: Jasprit Bumrah animated chat with Gautam Gambhir in dressing room

Jasprit Bumrah and team India head coach Gautam Gambhir were caught on camera having a chat during the closing hour of Day 2 of the ongoing England vs. India 1st Test match at Headingley, Leeds. Jasprit Bumrah and team India head coach Gautam Gambhir were caught on camera having a chat during the closing hour of Day 2 of the ongoing England vs. India 1st Test match at Headingley, Leeds. Unlike India's compact batting performance, the bowling lineup so far is completely dependent on the ace pacer. Bumrah single-handedly took 3 wickets of England's innings. The number of wickets could've been more if he got a little bit more support from his teammates. Team India's fielding on Day 2 was lackluster and could cause Bumrah and Gambhir enough headache. When Shardul Thakur was introduced with the ball for the first time in the innings, Bumrah was at the dressing room, sitting alongside the head coach.

Several reports have claimed that these two had some serious chat during the closing hours of the match. Bumrah perhaps made some animated conversation with Gautam Gambhir. The exact conversation between them is unknown, but from the gestures and experiences, it is assumed that for some reasons Bumrah might not be happy.

The pace spearheaded claimed the first wicket of England's innings in the very first over. Bumrah's angled delivery was enough to befool Zak Crawley. Ben Duckett and Joe Root also fall short against the 31-year-old.

An eventful day at Headingley

The wicket of Duckett helped Bumrah to break Wasim Akram's long-standing record of picking the most wickets by an Asian bowler in SENA countries. The star India pacer now has 147 wickets in 55 innings in his bag.

With the help of centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal, captain Shubman Gill, and vice-captain Rishabh Pant, India managed to get 471/10 on the scoreboard. The total could've been more if the middle order did not collapse. In reply, at the end of Day 2, the host team registered 209 for 3 wickets.
