A day marked by England's batting display, mostly because of Joe Root, who scored an individual 150 before falling short against a Ravindra Jadeja delivery and the quick hands of keeper Dhruv Jurel.
With the stage set by the opening pair of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, England went off to the summit of runs from there. Apart from Harry Brook's short-lived innings, the middle order utilized their chances as much as possible.
Ben Stokes, captain of the home team, again got an opportunity to inspire the team from the front. He went back to the crease after retiring and will try to get a century on Day 4 of the ongoing 4th Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy. Day 3 was mostly dominated by the England batter, except for the last session of the day, where India was able to dent the opponent's cruising innings.

A crucial time ahead for Team India
Before the stumps, India clinched 5 more wickets; therefore, England currently has only 3 wickets left, including Ben Stokes. Washington Sundar, so far, has impressed the most among the Indian bowlers by taking a couple of wickets and maintaining a low economy rate. Jadeja also got a brace.
But India's pace bowling frontline was way far from their actual potential. Jasprit Bumrah, with only one wicket in the innings, had to receive some medical support. Though, he managed to get back on the track and then clinched Jamie Smith from the middle. Mohammed Siraj also managed to get the wicket of Chris Woakes.
