Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir has made a huge declaration about the availability of Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the 5-match Test series between England and India. Team India will fly to England to play the series; before that, newly appointed Test captain Subhman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir were presented in a press conference today (June 5). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced the squad for the tour.

Jasprit Bumrah will have to play a crucial role under English conditions. But will he play all 5 matches there? The team management may not go to utilize the lethal pacer in all of the matches due to work management. Out of 5 tests, Bumrah can participate in 3; Gambhir also said that. But in which 3 Test matches will the cricket fans witness the brilliance of the speed star? The coach did not even try to clear the air.

Gambhir said in the press conference, "It's always difficult to replace someone like Jasprit Bumrah. But, we have got enough quality. I have said this in the Champions Trophy as well. It's an opportunity for someone else to step up when he is not there."

Along with these, he added, "We haven't taken a call on which three games he will play. We will discuss it with him and then make a call depending on how the test series goes. The result of the series is very important, and he also knows that. We will take a call after we go there."

Shubman Gill keeping trust on the squad

Like the coach, the captain almost contained the same opinion. Gill believed that the squad has enough talent to perform without Jasprit Bumrah.

"I think we have picked enough bowlers and enough pace battery. A lot of our fast bowlers are in a great space to be able to win us Test matches in any conditions and any position. When you have a fast bowler like Jasprit Bumrah, whenever he comes and plays, it's a great boost for us," the skipper said.
