[WATCH] ENG vs IND: Ravi Shashtri shares view on Day 3's heated final over at Lord's

The final over of Day 3 witnessed a heated exchange between England and India on the field. England opener Zak Crawley did not show any intention to get back on his strike after a ball hit his gloves.

After breaking India's first innings, England batted only one over before the stumps. They could've easily played another over before the day's end, but alleged time-wasting tactics from the batter did not allow Jasprit Bumrah to complete his run-up. Crawley once stopped Jasprit Bumrah midway through his run-up and then signaled towards the dugout for some medical assistance. India captain Shubman Gill was visibly not happy and exchanged some words with Crawley. The gesture of the India skipper attracted some criticisms also.

Some of the India players were spotted clapping in a rather sarcastic way, as they perceived it was an act from Zak Crawley deliberately for wasting some time. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has been in England for his commentary job.

All part of the game, Shastri opined 

When he was asked about the incident, Shastri was absolutely not bothered after all the drama. Which he calls 'Tamasha.' In a high-octane match like this at the Lord's, heated moments are not unnatural for him. 

"Now, if I were wearing the Indian hat, I would have done all that. You know, we call it Tamasha (drama). All that is allowed on the field of play. You want all that. You know, you can't just have 'good morning, good evening, go home.' You know, a little bit of argy-bargy is OK in the middle, as long as you don't cross the line. So I'm OK with all that," Shastri said while speaking to Sky Sports Cricket.
