To keep the tactics secret, the team management of India arranged the multi-day practice match behind closed doors. According to speculations and some previously published reports, through the intra-squad match, the management will chalk out multiple key decisions (like team combination, player role, etc.) for the upcoming Test series against England starting from Friday this week. Indian cricket fans are curious about the details of the closed-door match, but it was kept mostly confidential.

In the meantime, IPL franchise Delhi Capitals shared a photo from the intra-squad match, which has the caption, "Besties you can never separate." In the single image shared today (June 16), we can see KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, deputy of captain Shubman Gill, standing together, standing side by side, fielding together, probably in the slip cordon.

Notable fact from the picture is that Pant is not with his wicketkeeping gloves. Rahul, who is a natural batter but can keep, is also spotted without the gloves. Which means another player from the squad is probably doing the behind-the-stumps job.

Another keeper is in the squad 

Notably, other than Pant and Rahul, Dhruv Jurel is the genuine keeper in the squad. Jurel was splendid during the unofficial Test matches against England Lions. During the 4 innings in 2 matches, he smashed 3 fifty-plus scores. Though there is no confirmation about the playing contribution. But it is obvious that this image can spark more speculations about the possible game plan of Team India. 

KL Rahul was also in brilliant form against an unofficial Test versus England Lions. As per some reports, Rahul can be selected as the opener of the final playing eleven as an opener. In the practice match against the England Lions, he was in the opening position with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
