In his memory, a moment of silence witnessed before beginning the fifth day of the ongoing England vs India first Test match. Players from both sides paid respect for the former left arm spinner. According to reports, the 77 year old former cricketer was admitted to a hospital in London.

His impact on the game was immense, and he inspired a generation of cricketers with his skill and dedication. His contribution to Indian cricket will always be remembered. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and the entire cricketing fraternity during this difficult time."

Doshi recognised as one of the finest spinners of cricket history. His magical hands helped India to earn the infamous victory in MCG in 1981. In this historic match, Doshi took a total of 5 wickets (3 in the first innings and 2 in the second innings). Before the match, Doshi got a strike on the instep in the match against Victoria. The 1981 MCG Test between Australia and India was loaded with controversies.

From the pitch condition to the umpire's decision, India had to overcome multiple hurdles before winning the match.
