The star players of the England side picked three Indian players in their ultimate XI of The Hundred, and among those three Indian players, the former captain, Virat Kohli, didn’t find a place. In the opening position, they went with the former West Indies aggressive opening batter, Chris Gayle, and India’s World Cup-winning captain, Rohit Sharma.

Many would expect Virat Kohli to find a place at number three, but they went with Viv Richards, who, despite being an aggressive batter, didn’t get the chance to feature in the shortest format. “He is probably as destructive and intimidating as anyone has ever been at the top of the order. The Universe Boss will be my first pick.” Jos Buttler said on Sky Sports about Gayle’s position in The Hundred XI.

“I will go for Rohit Sharma at No. 2. He is a player who can take away the game very quickly and effortlessly.” The successful white-ball spinner of the Three Lions, Adil Rashid, shed light. Joe Root picked Richard while Jacob Bethell went with Brian Lara at number four.

Star England pacer, Gus Atkinson, got Sam Curran at number five, while the medium pacer of Australia, Ben Dwarshuis, went with Andre Russell at number six. “No. 7, Jadeja, because he is very good, a left-arm spinner, and he can hit at the end, and he is an amazing fielder as well.” England’s current white-ball captain, Harry Brook, added.

“No. 10, I would like to go with the best pacer in the world at the moment, Jasprit Bumrah. White-ball skills are at a different level. Yorkers, slower deliveries, rarely go for over six runs an over and can bowl in the powerplay and at the death.” Jamie Overton said to Sky Sports Cricket.

The wicket-keeper batter of the side, Jamie Smith, picked Lasith Malinga at number 11, as the entire XI looked exciting and powerful to take charge in the 100-ball tournament.
